This recognition was given to the pound-for-pound king for his great contribution in the field of sports and his promise as a politician.

Aside from Pacquiao, other local celebrities who excelled in their corresponding fields were aptly recognized by the media organization.

Big Brother Brazil housemate Daniel Echaniz, a 31-year-old professional model, has been accused of raping fellow housemate Monique Amin, a 23-year-old student.

A housemate on Big Brother Brazil has been raped live on TV, it has been alleged.
The Police confirmed that they had begun an investigation and carried out a search of the studios in Rio de Janeiro, where the popular reality show is being filmed.
Million's of viewers were shocked in the early hours of Sunday to watch contestant Daniel Echaniz, apparently force himself on Monique Amin, who had passed out drunk after a party.

The intimate moment between Daniel Echaniz and Monique Amin while under the blanket was watched live by millions of Brazilian viewers, video of which has already been uploaded on Youtube. It happened early morning on Sunday, January 15, 2012, after the housemates had a drinking party.

Big Brother Brazil allegedly was given an option by the police, either to remove Daniel Echaniz or cancel the show, as investigation continues for the alleged rape incident. Housemate Echaniz left the Big Brother Brazil on Monday, January 16.

MANILA, Philippines – The 7th Cinemalaya Philippine Independent Film Festival big winner, “Ang Babae sa Septic Tank,” bagged two nominations in the 6th Asian Film Awards via lead actress Eugene Domingo and screenwriter Chris Martinez.

According to the award-giving body’s official website, Domingo will be pitted against Vidya Balan of India, Michelle Chen of Taiwan, Leila Hatami of Iran, and Deanie Ip of Hong Kong under the Best Actress category.

In July last year, Domingo was hailed Best Actress in Cinemalaya’s New Breed (Full Length) category for said movie. In December, she took home the 2011 Metro Manila Film Festival Best Supporting Actress trophy for her performance in “My Househusband.” The comedienne had also won numerous supporting actress awards for the films “100,” “Here Comes the Bride,” and the “Ang Tanging Ina” series from the Cinemalaya, the FAMAS, and the MMFF, respectively.
