Retired Houston Rocket Yao Ming enters politics
China's fomer NBA superstar Yao Ming is the newly elected member of Chinese People's Political Consultative (CPPCC) of Shanghai CPPCC meeting in Shanghai on January 15.
The 31 years old former NBA player was formally accepted as a new member of an advisory body to Shanghai's legislature on Sunday. It's a position to give him a proposal for changing the laws.

The win improved the Lady Chiefs’ mark to 5-3, while the Lady Pirates dropped to 4-4 to officially bow out of contention for a semis berth.
The Lady Chiefs, though, face a difficulat task ahead as they need to get past the unbeaten UPHSD and early semifinalists Lady Altas (8-0) on Friday, the last day of the elimination round.
