Sunshine Cruz reveals marrying Cesar Montano in
ceremony initially kept secret even from their
respective families

MANILA, Philippines - Sunshine Cruz slammed rumors that she’s gotten jealous of her husband Cesar Montano’s leading lady, Sam Pinto.
“Kung sa pagsubok at pagsubok, ang dami na naming pagsubok na dinaanan talaga. ‘Pag kami lang dalawa,ang iisipin namin --- ‘yung isa’t isa at wala kaming Diyos--- ay naku magulo ‘yon, magulo ‘yon at hindi kami magtatagal.
"So, we never talk about it at kung pag-uusapan namin, I would just say, ‘Sa trailer ang sexy naman ni Sam.’ If before I was a jealous wife, that’s normal. But now, no. I love Sam Pinto,” Sunshine explained in a phone interview aired on “Showbiz Central,” Feb. 12.
Sunshine said Cesar’s a changed man.
“Malaki ang ipinagbago ng asawa ko. Kung maibabalik ko man ‘yung nakaraan or papiliin man ako [ay] siya pa rin ang pipiliin ko.”
Regarding relationship, Cesar also explained, “We’ve grown sa relasyon namin. Nalaman na namin kung ano ‘yung tama o mali, kung paano kami mag-a-adjust.”
As to his leading man in “Hitman,” the actor admits that, “Si Sam, sa totoo lang kaselos-selos, napakaseksi at napakaganda. But ‘yung pagmamahalan namin [ni Sunshine[ ay mas matibay [kaysa] doon sa pagseselos.”
He then explained that could have started the rumor linking them together.
“Karamihan sa movie may love angle ‘yan, kung paano nagkaroon ng relasyon ‘yung both characters. May kissing scene dito, may love scene dito. Alam mo it will invite fabulous speculations sa mga tao.”
Cesar also affirmed his wife’s earlier statement about outgrowing the "jealous wife" phase.
“Alam mo hindi na nagseselos yan. Kahit na ano nga, hindi na nagseselos sa akin ‘yan, eh. Minsan sinasadya ko na hindi pa rin nagseselos ‘yan, eh.”
Interestingly, Sunshine revealed that she and Cesar married twice, the first wedding kept secret even from their respective families.
“Sa Feb. 23 is our 12th year wedding anniversary. Nakakatawa kasi ito ‘yung first wedding namin na walang nakakaalam. Even my parents and ‘yung sa side din ni Buboy didn’t know about this until we got married Sept. 14 sa Coconut Palace,” she said.
So, what makes them tick as a couple?
“Through prayers, ako po ay salbahe pa rin but through prayers, sabi ko ‘wag nating aalisin itong pagdadasal sa ating pamilya. The family that prays together sticks together,” Cesar shared.
